5 session workshop - Final session for 108 Sun Salutations
The Suryathon Workshop is a dynamic 5-session journey designed to build strength, flexibility, and mental focus, leading to the ultimate challenge of 108 Sun Salutations. Each session will focus on different aspects of yoga, from strengthening to breathwork, preparing you both physically and mentally for the final session.
Session 1: Strengthening Foundations
This session focuses on building overall strength, with poses targeting the legs, arms, and back. You'll develop the stability needed for Sun Salutations and deepen your understanding of foundational yoga postures. We will also introduce the Sun Salutation sequence.
Session 2: Core Power
Activate your core with a series of powerful movements and flows. Strengthening the core is essential for maintaining proper alignment and endurance during your practice, helping you prepare for the final challenge. We will continue to deepen the Sun Salutation practice as well!
Session 3: Deep Stretch and Flexibility
This session centers around deep stretching and increasing flexibility. You’ll explore poses that open up the hips, shoulders, and hamstrings, releasing tension and enhancing your range of motion. Sun Salutation drills will be included!
Session 4: Vinyasa Flow with Breathwork
In this session, we will explore the power of breath control (pranayama) and mindfulness through a vinyasa flow practice. The flow will emphasize muscle awareness, allowing you to move mindfully through each pose while staying connected to your breath. In addition we will practice 10 rounds of Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations), focusing on the coordination of breath and movement. Through this, you’ll learn proper breathing techniques for each posture, helping you cultivate a calm, steady rhythm throughout the practice.
Session 5: 108 Sun Salutations Challenge
The final session brings everything together with the ultimate challenge of completing 108 Sun Salutations. With the strength, flexibility, and focus developed in previous sessions, you'll celebrate your progress and push your limits. The goal is to reach your own maximum limit!
